FY23 LEAD IC Program

LEAD IC is an 10-month development program for individual contributors within FedEx Express who lead, or have the potential to lead, high-impact projects and initiatives without a manager’s title and authority. The program is designed to promote an attitude of continuous learning and self-awareness within the context of solving real-world business issues using collaborative teamwork.   The LEAD IC learning experience includes: 1. A cross-divisional problem solving project using QDM 2. Virtual classroom workshops spread across 14 webinar events 3. Social networking and community building via online social media 4. Social learning using team site discussion boards 5. eLearning tied to the employee’s Individual Development Plan (approximately 40 hours combined required/elective credits).   Participants in the program complete assessments that reveal strengths as well as opportunities for leadership growth. Working closely with their managers, the participants develop Individual Development Plans based on management competencies as they apply to leading and interacting with peers on the IC level.  The program is rooted in QDM and requires pre-requisite knowledge of the ABLE process and tools.
